FIVE REASONS WHY YOU MUST VISIT KUTCH

“Kutch nahin dekha to kuch nahin dekha” is a tagline that suits the Place “Rann Of Kutch”

Every destination will have few reasons to visit and Rann of kutch has beaten them with its variety.

During my visit to Rann Of Kutch these are my five reasons to visit the place.

THE WHITE RANN:

It was mesmerizing to watch the sun rise from the white horizon, the land alters being dry and wet depending on the seasons and it is nearly uninhabitable.

The shallow marshlands are under water during the monsoons and when the wetlands dry up, they leave behind an ocean of salt.

I was satisfied to stare at them during sunrise and sunset, mostly the sunrise.

The crafts and craftsmen and women of Kutch:

If you had been to Kutch and had not visited the villages then you have not covered the place at all.

Some of the captivating and surprising appearances includes weavers creating magic with their fingers, few families practicing block printing in Ajrakpur. There are several artisans specializing in jewelry to bandini. These people at work will tempt you to buy the creations.

Prag Mahal in Bhuj:

The Prag Mahal monument built in a lavish Gothic style and Aina Mahal marble was decorated with mirrors. stand adjacent to each other, taking you to the glorious era. The Bhuj is going to be a magic for your eyes.

Mandvi Beach:

Mandvi Beach was one of the oldest seaports and a summer retreat for the old Maharajas.

But what was really fascinating was the 400 year old ship building industry.

Pelicans and flamingos:

Water birds in Kutch are everywhere. There were huge blocks of the great white pelicans in Bhuj and flamingos in the lakes around Mandvi.

Black winged stilts, red wattled lapwings, spot billed ducks among other waders and water birds.
